Ok, so it's kind of about you, but not really about you if you know what I mean.

Take yourself out of the picture and focus on the bigger prize. You are creating these photos so you can connect and educate with your ideal customers about how you can help them! It's not about you.

You are just using these images as a conduit to share your knowledge. Just think how much freedom and confidence you are going to have when you get these images back.

The sky will be your limit. Use this session to your advantage and smash out all the content you want to put out into the world.

Possible shot ideas

Every business is different, but have a think about these story/social media post ideas, and if they seem relevant to you.

1. The Head shot

Everyone should have a decent looking headshot. This is crucial for your social email signatures, all social profiles and your own website. Depending on your brand voice you can decide if you want a more formal or fun vibe for this shot.

2. Lifestyle images

These are generally a little more relaxed than a headshot. Basically this just means candid shots of you smiling, looking fabulous, laughing, walking down the street, at the park , checking your phone, etc.

Your audience want to see WHERE the action happens. Your desk, shop or studio, the couch! Anything goes! These shops are very helpful for people to get to know the person behind the business and see how how everything works. these shots are great for product based business that can show the process behind the products.

A plain coloured or white wall is ideal for adding text or overlays for promoting your services. These can also be useful on banners for your website, LinkedIn or Facebook.

4. Casual meeting shot

Grab a client or friend to pose as your client. Ideally they should be someone who matches your target audience. You can create and capture conversations, meetings on zoom, interaction at a cafe or shared workspace. It’s a great way to show people how they can work with you how you do business

This documents your life and the components of it, such as your daily routines, animals, kids, partner etc. People love to connect with you on relatable topics so share things that your target audience can relate to.
